The most current general word for rising or raising oneself up, or rising to an upright position of any kind is qǐ 起 (ant. jiàng 降 "go down").

Wò 臥 (ant. qǐ 起 "get up") is often used as a very general term referring to any form of sleep or rest whatsoever, but specifically the word does also refer to taking a brief nap, typically leaning on a low table. - Ant: 居/SIT
