HUANG JINGUI 2006 COMM 27. 船上的人工推進工具，常見篙、槳、櫓三種。篙，手撐者，與筏俱生，而其稱秦以後始見。 槳，手劃者，短槳最早。 楫（ j[U+00ed] ），短槳，又作槳的通稱。 櫂（ zh[U+00e0]o ），吊置於船舷的長槳，常含動作意。 橈（ r[U+00e0]o ）, 兼指短、長槳，本是吳越方言詞，遂作口語中槳的通稱。 謗，也含動作意，是唐代及唐以前吳越一帶的方言用法。 枻（ y[U+00ec] ）, 多指漁舟之槳，也可泛稱小槳。槳，中古才見的吳方言口語詞。 櫓，手搖者，改進長槳，置於船舷、船尾的支鈕，作縱向劃動，既省力，又提高功效；櫓在秦以前已產生，而其稱最早見於漢代。
