便強入名山，
履冒毒螫，
屢被中傷，
恥復求還。
或為虎狼所食，
或為魍魎所殺，
或餓而無絕穀之方，
寒而無自溫之法，
死於崖谷，
不亦愚哉？
夫務學不如擇師，
師所聞素狹，
又不盡情以教之，
因告云，
為道不在多也。
夫為道不在多，
自為已有金丹至要，
可不用餘耳。
然此事知之者甚希，
寧可虛待不必之大事，
而不修交益之小術乎？
譬猶作家，
云不事用他物者，
蓋謂有金銀珠玉，
在乎掌握懷抱之中，
足以供累世之費者耳。
苟其無此，
何可不廣播百穀，
多儲果疏乎？
