左右操弦者，
教遣長短，
無毫釐差過也。
余晚充鄭君門人，
請見方書，
告余曰：
要道不過尺素，
上足以度世，
不用多也。
然博涉之後，
遠勝於不見矣。
既悟人意，
又可得淺近之術，
以防初學未成者諸患也。
乃先以道家訓教戒書不要者近百卷，
稍稍示余。
余亦多所先見，
先見者頗以其中疑事諮問之。
鄭君言：
君有甄事之才，
可教也。
然君所知者，
雖多未精，
又意在於外學，
不能專一，
未中以經深涉遠耳，
今自當以佳書相示也。
