苟非其人，
則高位厚貨，
乃所以為重累耳。
何者？
學仙之法，
欲得恬愉澹泊，
滌除嗜欲，
內視反聽，
屍居無心，
而帝王任天下之重責，
治鞅掌之政務，
思勞於萬幾，
神馳於宇宙，
一介失所，
則王道為虧，
百姓有過，
則謂之在予。
醇醪汩其和氣，
艷容伐其根荄，
所以翦精損慮削乎平粹者，
不可曲盡而備論也。
蚊噆膚則坐不得安，
虱群攻則臥不得寧。
四海之事，
何祗若是。
安得掩翳聰明，
