方乃告其要耳。
故行炁或可以治百病，
或可以入瘟疫，
或可以禁蛇虎，
或可以止瘡血，
或可以居水中，
或可以行水上，
或可以辟飢渴，
或可以延年命。
其大要者，
胎息而已。
得胎息者，
能不以鼻口噓吸，
如在胞胎之中，
則道成矣。
初學行炁，
鼻中引炁而閉之，
陰以心數至一百二十，
乃以口微吐之，
及引之，
皆不欲令己耳聞其炁出入之聲，
常令入多出少，
以鴻毛著鼻口之上，
吐炁而鴻毛不動為候也。
漸習轉增其心數，
久久可以至千，
