管仲輔公子糺而不能遂，
不可謂智；
遁逃奔走，
不死其難，
不可謂勇；
束縛桎梏，
不諱其恥，
不可謂貞。
當此三行者，
布衣弗友，
人君弗臣。
然而管仲免於束縛之中，
立齊國之政，
九合諸侯，
一匡天下。
使管仲出死捐軀，
不顧後圖，
豈有此霸功哉！
今人君之論其臣也，
不計其大功，
揔其略行，
而求其小善，
則失賢之數也。
故人有厚德，
