適情知足則富矣，
明死生之分則壽矣。
言無常是、
行無常宜者，
小人也。
察於一事、
通於一伎者，
中人也。
兼覆而并有之、
伎能而裁使之者，
聖人也。
齊俗訓
率性而行謂之道，
得其天性謂之德。
性失然後貴仁，
道失然後貴義。
是故仁義立而道德遷矣，
禮樂飾則純樸散矣，
是非形則百姓眩矣，
珠玉尊則天下爭矣。
凡此四者，
衰世之造也，
末世之用也。
夫禮者，所以別尊卑、
異貴賤；
義者，所以合君臣、父子、兄弟、夫妻、友朋之際也。
