雉之性。
好淫而善闘。
一雄率群雌。
飮啄於山梁間。
每春夏之交。
叢灌薈欝。
雌鳴粥粥。
雄者一聞其聲。
則必振翮而至。
逼人而不疑。
是怒其他雄之畜雌者也。
虞者中其機。
飾木葉爲翳。
