自序
《漢書·藝文志》雜家：
「 《尸子》二十篇」 ，
隋唐《志》並同。
宋時全書已亡，
王應麟《漢志考證》云：
「 《李淑書目》存四卷，
《館閣書目》止存二篇，
合為一卷。 」
其本皆不傳。
近所傳者，
有震澤任氏本、元和惠氏本、陽湖孫氏本。
任本凡三篇，
曰仁意，
曰君治，
曰廣釋，
實皆攈摭佚文，
傅會舊目。
繼培初讀其書，
就所攬掇，
表識出處，
糾拾遺謬，
是正文字。
後得惠孫之書，
以相比校，
頗復有所疑異。
乃集平昔疏記，
稍加厘訂。
以《群書治要》所載為上卷，
諸書稱引與之同者分注于下。
